Psychedelica rocked! The crowd was energetic and the music was awesome. Cosmosis really played the crowds, living up to his status as a psy-trance legend. His guitar antics, expert knob-twiddling and bouncy stage persona made for a set well-worth catching. There was loads of friendly interaction between everyone … and plenty of hip-shaking! The party name proved prophetic – it really felt like one of the original Goa parties – real psychedelica in action! Cape Town’s annual psychedelic summer climaxed in pure Bliss as Jonatan Marcow gave Troopers a taste of full-on at its finest. On the cards for summer: Arora’06, a synergy with BearTrap feat. Sirius-Isness (Phantasm, UK), & a host of SA’s psy-trance best. As always; expect revolutionary eye-candy, seamless production and music that’ll will blow the unsuspecting into the next dimension.

Reaching cosmic warp-speed with Sirius-Isness & co. isn’t all that’s on the cards. To complement the pounding psychedelia & sizzling frequencies that will be unleashed on the main floor, the Troopers will be providing an international-class chill zone - a nutrient-feed of soothing ambient grooves, titillating cyber-rhythms & a-mazing visuals for zinged noodles. Watch out for cybertastic visual mixes from Inertia, Simulflow & Orphan Drift collaborative projects (these guys are on the hit-list of several interstellar anti-essoterrorist organisations!).

The Groovy Troopers are a collective of artists, funksters and visionaries who band together whenever the mood or spirit takes us. What drives us is a desire to commit driftworks or meaningful acts of incendiary madness that merge dance and idea.  We got tired of cheeze & whine so we took our twisted vision into open fields and warehouses. Our mission is to infiltrate and subvert the tired/apathetic souls of our epoch, to plant beautiful seeds in the minds of the few who recognize our mission.  We have and will continue to stage spontaneously arising strange attractors around which you, the audience/participants may temporarily orbit, sampling the luminous pollen of inspiration/information.  The Groovy Troopers are hip chimeras that dance new patterns at the cusp of history's closure.

The Groovy Troopers are back from winter hibernation, still warm from the dreams of last summer. Our logo - a winged sacred heart representing Love, surmounted by a crown representing Will, Understanding & Insight – continues to  inspire us.
